Job Description

Kelly Scientific Resources had been engaged to assist in the search for a Animal Care
Technician. This is a contact position that is immediately available and likely
to be filled very quickly. We are seeking a highly motivated and technically
adept individual to work as an Animal Care Technician.

The Animal Care
Technician will perform all tasks related to the day-to-day operations. These tasks will include animal care and husbandry and
facility maintenance. Duties will also include operation of auto clave, rack
washers, and tunnel washers.


Qualified candidates will be responsible for ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations and
guidelines in accordance with standards. They must maintain accurate
documentation and confidentiality.

Duties will
include:
*Feed, house, and handle animals. Change animal cages and maintain
sanitary animal housing conditions.
*Operate animal care processing equipment
and detect and report malfunctioning or defective equipment.
*Maintain and
sanitize assigned animal rooms, performing appropriate decontamination methods
and procedures
*Perform animal care with appropriate supervision including
drug administration.
*Maintain inventory of supplies and required activity
logs and records.

Education required:
High School Diploma or
equivalent

Qualified candidates will have these essential skills:
*Two
years animal care experience or equivalent
*Proficient in safe processing
techniques and pertinent OSHA and AAALAC regulations
*Ability to work with
minimum supervision and to work well either independently or as part of a
team.
*Ability to read and
interpret documents.
*Communication skills
